Why is it that compaq promotes the idea of ordering their products from Compaq.direct, but when you order a server with Raid 5 it doesn't tell you to order the array controller. It sounds obvious. "Hello, I would like the ML370 with Raid 5... make that 4 18GB hard drives. Thanks." I would expect the sales person to say..."Oh, you will need this array controller to make that work." NOOOOOO!!!!! not on the web site. Sometimes lack of human intervention is a bad thing. Don't sit there and tell me that I should have been aware. Not a chance. There are some things you assume when a system is automated. For instance, you assume your direct deposit gets put in the bank on payday. Sometimes it doesn't. so there......
