Bobby Knight resigns from Texas Tech. Not sure why, but better yet why not. Go out on top. Winningest coach in history. Has a national championship and a long list of players and coaches he influenced throughout his career.

Say what you will about Bob Knight. He has a temper that he can't control, but he is one of those hot heads that you can see through the steam and feel his compassion. Watch the kids he yells at in the middle of a game and notice how they react. They mostly react with "ok, I screwed up, let's get this over with."

I like Bobby Knight. Always have. He is tough and passionate about what he does. He knows that basketball is not the end all and that the higher percentage of his players (from any program) will leave school and NOT go pro. His goal is to teach players to be productive outside of the sport.

Would I send my kid to play within his program? You bet. Why? I know that Bobby Knight will get the most out of a player. He can take a group of 2nd and 3rd string players and make a winning team. That says a lot.

Bobby...err "Coach Knight Sir", enjoy the hunting and fishing. You earned it.
