I saw a news story yesterday where a lady was in jail and left her 6 and 3 year old children home alone. "How sad and pathetic" most people might say.

Not me. I use this story as motivation for my own 6 and 3 year old children. They need to start pulling their weight around the house more. No more coddling and watching them. They can take care of themselves now. No more, "carry me" and "pick me up". Walk darn you. Go make your own food!
